Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Blockchain Security Auditor to perform thorough security audits of smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain protocols from our Pietermaritzburg office. You will identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and deliver actionable mitigations to protect digital assets.

The role requires hands-on experience with Solidity/Vyper, security tooling, and penetration testing, collaborating closely with development teams to enforce secure coding practices and incident

Qualifications

• Proven experience in blockchain security auditing with a strong portfolio.
• In-depth knowledge of smart contract development (Solidity, Vyper) and vulnerability patterns.
• Familiarity with security analysis tools and frameworks (Slither, Mythril, Securify).
• Understanding of Ethereum, BSC, Polygon and related security considerations.
• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Go for scripting and tooling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and clear communication.
• Relevant certifications are a plus; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigorous security audits of smart contracts using Solidity and other languages.
• Analyze dApp architectures and tokenomics for security flaws.
• Identify reentrancy, overflows, front-running, and gas-limit issues.
• Conduct code reviews, static/dynamic testing of blockchain projects.
• Provide detailed reports with risk assessments and mitigations.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and best practices.
• Stay updated on new threats and security trends in blockchain.
• Develop and refine audit methodologies and tools.
• Advise clients on secure development and risk management.
• Participate in incident response and forensic analysis when required.
