Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Site Supervisor for a forward-thinking construction management client. The role oversees multiple projects from a distance, with the Cape Town base but fully remote across South Africa.

You will monitor timelines, budgets, and quality using digital tools, conduct virtual site inspections, and coordinate with on-site teams and management to keep operations running smoothly.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in supervisory or site management.
• Experience with CM software, PM tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent digital literacy and reporting skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize remote monitoring tools, drones, and site reporting software to track project progress.
• Conduct virtual site inspections and provide detailed reports on construction activities, safety compliance, and quality control.
• Facilitate communication between site teams, project managers, and stakeholders through digital platforms.
• Review and approve daily/weekly site reports submitted by on-site personnel.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, flagging deviations and proposing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations through remote oversight and reporting.
• Manage documentation and record-keeping for all site activities.
• Assist in resolving on-site challenges by providing remote guidance and support.
• Collaborate with the project management team to implement best practices in remote construction supervision.

About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking construction management company seeking an experienced Remote Site Supervisor to oversee various projects from a distance. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa while still contributing to critical construction oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards by leveraging technology and effective communication. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of construction processes, excellent digital literacy, and the ability to manage teams and projects remotely. You will be the eyes and ears of our clients on-site, facilitating communication between the on-the-ground teams and management, and ensuring all operations run smoothly. The role is based out of Cape Town, though the work is entirely remote.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in construction management or a related field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or site management role.
• Proven experience with construction management software, project management tools, and remote collaboration platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent digital literacy, including proficiency with reporting software, and ideally, experience with drone operation for site surveys.
• Exceptional communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high levels of organization.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they escalage.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
