Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Thermal Systems) to lead design, analysis and validation of advanced thermal solutions in a fully remote role. The candidate will drive CFD studies, develop cooling architectures, and guide integration with complex products.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Sciences) and 8+ years of experience. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in a distributed, remote team

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences.
• 8+ years in thermal system design and analysis.
• Proficiency with ANSYS Icepak and COMSOL Multiphysics for CFD/thermal analysis.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics and psychrometrics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative thermal management solutions (heatsinks, fans, pumps, cooling systems).
• Conduct detailed thermal analysis and CFD simulations to predict performance and optimize designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs and packaging.
• Create technical specs, test plans and validation reports for thermal systems.
• Oversee prototype fabrication and testing, troubleshoot thermal issues, implement design improvements.
• Stay current with advancements in thermal engineering technologies and materials.
