Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecoms Network Security Specialist to join a fully remote team. You will safeguard telecommunications infrastructure against cyber threats and lead security strategy, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in telecoms network security, hands-on with Palo Alto/Fortinet, Splunk/QRadar, and scripting in Python/Bash. Advanced certifications are highly valued for this remote role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science; advanced certifications valued.
• 8+ years of telecoms network security experience with threat detection, prevention, response.
• Deep understanding of protocols, encryption, authentication, attack vectors.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto/Fortinet, Splunk/QRadar, and endpoint security tools.
• Proficient in Python and Bash for security automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and clear remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage telecom network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to mitigate risks.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Lead incident response, investigate breaches, and prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on threats and technologies; adapt security measures accordingly.
• Provide security awareness training to technical teams and end-users.
