Placements24 seeks a Senior Sustainable Design Architect to lead the development of innovative, low-impact architectural projects in a fully remote role. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Sustainable Design.
• Professional SACAP registration.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design with a focus on sustainable/green building practices.
• Proven experience with energy modeling software and sustainability analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of green building rating systems (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED) and certification processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of sustainable design strategies for architectural projects.
• Conduct energy modeling, daylight analysis, and other performance simulations to optimize environmental outcomes.
• Specify and research sustainable materials, systems, and technologies.
• Guide project teams in achieving green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED, EDGE).
• Collaborate with clients and consultants to set sustainability goals and metrics.
• Prepare documentation and reports related to sustainable design aspects and certifications.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sustainable architecture, building science, and environmental regulations.
• Mentor junior architects and designers on sustainable design principles.
• Advocate for and promote sustainable design practices within the firm and with clients.
• Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and other environmental impact evaluations.
