Qualifications
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- Professional Engineer registration with ECSA (Pr Eng) is essential.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant structural design experience for buildings.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for new buildings and renovations from concept to detailing.
- Perform complex structural analysis using ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE and other tools.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and calculation reports.
- Ensure compliance with SANS, NBR and applicable codes.
- Provide remote collaboration with architects, other engineers, and clients.
- Mentor junior engineers and draughtspersons; review shop drawings and respond to queries remotely.
- Assess existing structures and propose rehabilitation strategies.
- Manage project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
