About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Remote Senior Security Architect to guide their global cybersecurity strategy. This role involves the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise-wide security architectures. You will be responsible for defining security standards, evaluating new security technologies, and ensuring that security is integrated into all aspects of the IT infrastructure and business processes. As a fully remote position, you will collaborate with teams across different time zones, driving security best practices and innovation from your home office, contributing to a robust and future-proof security framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive security solutions for on-premises, cloud (AWS, Azure), and hybrid environments.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-level security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new security technologies and platforms to enhance the security posture.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices for application development, infrastructure, and data protection.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align security architecture with strategic objectives.
• Oversee the security aspects of major IT projects, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant architecture certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA) are highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security , with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex security architectures in large enterprises, including cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of various security domains, including network security, identity and access management, data security, and cryptography.
• Expertise in risk management frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, GDPR).
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels in a remote setting.
