Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Architect to join a globally distributed team. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure while shaping the security posture of the organization in a remote-first culture.

You will define security strategies, develop architectural blueprints, and ensure implementation of cutting-edge security solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Information Security, CS, or related field.
• 7+ years of information security architecture, design and implementation.
• Experience with TOGAF or SABSA and compliance regimes (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Cloud security expertise across AWS, Azure and GCP; IAM, encryption, DLP.

Responsibilities

• Design and document secure architectures for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate new security technologies to strengthen defenses.
• Develop security standards, policies and best practices enterprise-wide.
• Lead threat modeling and secure coding guidance across teams.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security architecture, design, and implementation.
• Deep understanding of security principles, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA), and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Proven experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and network security technologies.
• Expertise in identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
