Placements24 is seeking a Senior Real Estate Negotiator to join a fully remote acquisitions team serving South Africa. The role requires leading complex negotiations, evaluating deals, and coordinating with legal counsel to close transactions across diverse asset classes.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of real estate finance, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of closing significant deals, with the ability to work autonomously in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, deal negotiation, or corporate real estate.
• Proven track record of closing high-volume, complex real estate transactions.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of real estate finance, contracts, and due diligence processes.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Argus).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation process for real estate acquisitions and structure optimal terms.
• Analyze financial data and market information to support strategy and investment decisions.
• Oversee comprehensive due diligence across financial, legal, environmental, and physical property aspects.
• Draft, review, and finalize purchase/sale agreements, leases, and related documents with counsel.
• Build and maintain relationships with sellers, brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry professionals.
• Prepare investment committee presentations detailing rationale, risks, and proposed terms.
• Monitor market trends and identify acquisition opportunities aligned with investment criteria.
• Manage the closing process and ensure conditions are met for timely execution.
• Provide strategic input on deal structures and risk mitigation.
