Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Data Scientist for a fully remote role. You will design advanced ML models, process diverse datasets (genomics, clinical data, real-world evidence), and collaborate with biologists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians to drive drug discovery insights.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in a quantitative field.
• 5–8 years of progressive data science experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy ML models (deep learning, supervised/unsupervised).
• Proficient in Python or R and data science libraries.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with big datasets.
• Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and big data tech (Spark).
• Excellent statistical knowledge and experimental design.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models for predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with biologists, chemists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians.
• Explore genomics, proteomics, EHRs, and trial data for insights.
• Build data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and feature engineering.
• Present findings with clear visuals to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Guide data science initiatives and mentor junior scientists.
• Keep up to date with advances in QS/AI in pharma and ensure reproducibility.
