Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Pharmaceutical Data Scientist to join a globally distributed team. You will uncover insights from complex clinical and genomic datasets using advanced modeling and ML to inform drug discovery and development decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in pharma/biotech.
• Proficiency in Python or R and data libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Strong SQL skills; experience with NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience with ML techniques (regression, classification, clustering, deep learning) and experimental design.
• Data visualization proficiency (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced statistical models and ML algorithms on clinical, genomic, and real-world data.
• Develop predictive models for efficacy, stratification, and response.
• Collaborate with biologists, chemists, clinicians, and bioinformaticians to define requirements.
• Create visualizations and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify trends and insights to guide R&D decisions and drug development.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python, R, SQL.
• Stay updated on data science and pharma research advancements and apply new techniques.
• Contribute to data governance and best practices for data management.
• Present findings to senior management and project teams.
