Placements24 is seeking a Remote Pharmaceutical Data Scientist to support Mossel Bay operations. Lead advanced statistical modeling, ML, and data mining on drug development, clinical trials, and market trends to drive data-informed decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in pharma/healthcare data, proficiency in Python or R, and strong visualization with Tableau/Power BI. Remote work with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and delivering scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist in pharmaceutical or healthcare data.
• Proficiency in Python or R with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, ML techniques, and data mining.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement statistical models and ML algorithms for pharmaceutical/healthcare data.
• Clean, transform, and prepare diverse datasets for analysis; ensure data quality.
• Identify trends and correlations to support drug discovery, trials, and market analysis.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and experiments to evaluate strategies.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians, statisticians, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
