Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Metallurgical Process Engineer for a fully remote role. You will analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize metallurgical processes across mineral processing circuits, with emphasis on efficiency, recovery, and environmental compliance, leveraging global operations from anywhere.

The role requires a BSc/BEng in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and at least 10 years in mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years in metallurgical process engineering within mining.
• Proven track record optimizing complex mineral processing plants.

Responsabilités

• Analyze metallurgical process data to identify improvements and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement optimization strategies for comminution, flotation, leaching, and other circuits.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical solutions to plant personnel.
• Design and scale-up new metallurgical processes and equipment.
• Conduct lab and pilot-scale tests to validate designs.
• Prepare technical reports and process simulations with recommendations.
• Collaborate with site-based teams, remote groups, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and sustainability goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as needed.
