Job summary
Placements24 seeks a Senior Geothermal Engineer to drive design, development and optimization of geothermal power plants and direct-use systems. You will lead subsurface exploration, reservoir modeling, and drilling program design while collaborating with geologists, project managers and global teams.
The role is fully remote with a focus on independent work, high-level technical leadership, and advancing renewable energy projects across borders.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Geothermal Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related geoscience field.
- Minimum of 10 years of specialized geothermal resource assessment and project development experience.
- In-depth knowledge of reservoir simulation, wellbore design, and geothermal thermodynamics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering of geothermal exploration and development projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, including resource assessment and reservoir modeling.
- Oversee the design and specification of drilling programs, well completion, and surface facilities.
- Analyze reservoir performance data and implement strategies for optimal energy production.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards for geothermal operations.
- Collaborate with international teams to share knowledge and best practices in geothermal engineering.
