Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is a strong requirement.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with significant exposure to coastal and marine projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design of foundations for port facilities, bridges, and offshore structures.
• Advanced proficiency in geotechnical modeling software such as Plaxis 2D/3D, GRLWEAP, etc.
• Deep understanding of soil behavior in marine environments, liquefaction analysis, and coastal erosion.
• Exceptional report writing, presentation, and remote communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must be able to effectively collaborate with teams supporting projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, and be accessible for necessary remote consultations.
