Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a major Oil & Gas client to recruit a Senior Geoscientist for a fully remote role. You will lead seismic structural interpretation, integrate data with geological models, and support exploration strategies on a global scale while collaborating with geologists and reservoir engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geophysics or Geology with 8+ years of experience, and is proficient in Petrel and SKUA-GOCAD.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or a related geoscience discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural interpretation and seismic analysis.
• Proficiency with Petrel and SKUA-GOCAD or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of structural geology and tectonics.
• Experience de-risking exploration opportunities based on structural complexity.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed 2D and 3D seismic interpretation focusing on structural elements.
• Integrate seismic data with geological models and well information.
• Utilize seismic attributes and modeling techniques to understand subsurface complexity.
• Assess geological risk and uncertainty in structural plays.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and rank prospects.
• Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
