Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Geology, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in seismic data interpretation within the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in structural and stratigraphic interpretation of 2D/3D seismic data.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation and workstation software.
• Proven experience with AVO analysis and quantitative seismic methods.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify geological structures, stratigraphic features, and potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Utilize advanced seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, HampsonRussell) to perform detailed analysis.
• Apply Amplitude Variation with Offset (AVO) analysis and other quantitative seismic techniques to assess hydrocarbon presence and risk.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other subsurface information.
• Develop geological models based on seismic interpretations.
• Evaluate and rank exploration prospects, providing clear justifications and risk assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive geophysical reports and presentations for technical and management audiences.
• Collaborate effectively with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other team members via virtual communication tools.
• Stay current with the latest seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation technologies.
• Contribute to the development and application of new interpretation workflows and methodologies.
