Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join a fully remote team in South Africa. You will build high-performance web interfaces using React, Angular, or Vue.js, translating UI concepts into maintainable code and collaborating with designers and backend engineers.

You will mentor junior developers, optimize for speed and accessibility, and contribute to architectural decisions while working remotely across the country.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of frontend development experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Translate UI/UX wireframes and prototypes into high-quality, maintainable code.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility across various devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend logic with server-side APIs and services.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior frontend developers within the remote team.
