Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer for a fully remote role with a software solutions provider operating within South Africa. You will turn UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver fast, scalable frontends. Must have 3+ years of experience and a degree in CS or related field; Git proficiency and cross-browser compatibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of frontend development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into high-quality, functional code.
• Optimize application components for maximum speed and scalability across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and contribute to their refinement.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews.
