Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join their fully remote engineering team, working from anywhere within South Africa. You will build and refine the user interface for cutting-edge web applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience.

You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces and maintainable code, while thriving in a remote-first, learning-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend web development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Extensive experience with React, Vue, or Angular.
• Familiarity with build tools, Git, and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality, responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, pixel-perfect web pages.
• Optimize frontend performance for speed, scalability, and accessibility across various browsers and devices.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
