Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Formulation Scientist to lead drug product development in a fully remote capacity. You will design, optimize, and scale up formulations across oral, injectable, and topical dosage forms while ensuring safety and stability.

You will work with global R&D teams, apply pre-formulation methods, and drive process development and technology transfer to manufacturing readiness, all in a collaborative, technically advanced environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Experience with tablets, capsules, injectables, and topicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation development for oral, injectable, and topical dosage forms.
• Perform pre-formulation, physicochemical characterization, and stability testing.
• Design experiments for optimization, excipient screening, and processes.
• Apply advanced analytics to evaluate formulation performance.
• Collaborate with analytical, manufacturing, and regulatory teams for tech transfer.
• Troubleshoot issues and propose innovative solutions.
