Placements24 is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist for a fully remote role, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and advancing new mineral exploration opportunities worldwide.

You will perform desk-based studies, target generation, prospectivity mapping, and manage early-stage exploration programs while collaborating with an international team. A strong geospatial background and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or Economic Geology.
• 8+ years of mineral exploration experience focusing on target generation and greenfield exploration.
• Experience integrating diverse data and performing geospatial analyses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regional geological assessments and prospectivity analyses.
• Identify and define new exploration targets using geological, geophysical, and geochemical data.
• Interpret remote sensing data and manage GIS databases for exploration projects.
• Plan and oversee desktop studies and early-stage field exploration programs.
• Collaborate with internal and external geological experts to validate targets and refine strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and funding proposals for new ventures.
• Contribute to development and implementation of exploration strategies and methodologies.
• Monitor industry trends and technological advancements in mineral exploration.
• Assist in due diligence evaluations of acquisitions and JV opportunities.
• Mentor junior geologists involved in exploration initiatives.
