Placements24 is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our team on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on developing and implementing environmental management strategies for mining projects across various locations, ensuring compliance and advising on sustainable practices.

You will lead EIAs, EMPs, and monitoring programs, coordinate with regulators and stakeholders, and provide expert guidance for responsible resource development from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in environmental management in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of EIA processes, ISO 14001, and environmental legislation.
• Proven ability to design and implement monitoring programs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EIAs and advise on mitigation measures.
