Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Electrical Engineer to join a distributed team focusing on projects across various locations, including Sandton area operations. You will design, analyze and optimize electrical systems, collaborating virtually with project teams and clients to ensure successful implementation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least 6 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and PSpice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with electrical design software (AutoCAD, PSpice) and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of power systems, electronics and control systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, components and specifications for diverse applications.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations and analyses to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, reports and datasheets, adhering to project standards.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, stakeholders and clients via virtual channels.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for electrical systems remotely.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in electrical engineering.
