Placements24 is seeking a Senior Economist to join a remote-first economic research team. You will conduct macroeconomic analysis, forecast key indicators, and translate complex data into clear insights for strategic investment decisions.

This role requires independent thinking and strong communication in a collaborative, remote environment. You will develop and refine econometric models, publish research findings, and stay abreast of policy debates and academic literature to inform management

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in economic research, forecasting, or policy analysis, preferably within the financial sector.
• Strong quantitative and econometric modeling skills, with expertise in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, EViews).
• Proven ability to conduct independent research and publish findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to explain complex economic concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and autonomously in a remote work environment.

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, and global economic developments.
