Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agricultural Economist to deliver economic insights for farms and agribusinesses. The role involves analyzing data, forecasting market fluctuations and developing financial models to support strategic decisions.

You will work with clients and internal teams to optimize resources, manage risk and boost profitability in the agricultural sector from a fully remote location.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years in economic analysis, preferably in agriculture.
• Strong knowledge of econometrics, statistical modeling and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as R, Stata or SPSS.
• Excellent research, analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze economic data, market trends and commodity prices to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop financial models and forecasts for agricultural projects and farm operations.
• Provide economic assessments for investments, policy recommendations and strategic planning.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses of agricultural practices and technologies.
• Prepare reports and presentations on economic findings and strategic advice.
