Placements24 is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Corporate Counsel to join their fully remote legal department. This role demands a strategic mind to advise on complex corporate matters, international transactions, and global regulatory compliance, serving as a key adviser to executive leadership in a remote-first culture.

You will lead cross-border transactions, oversee governance and securities matters, draft high-value agreements, manage IP strategy, and collaborate with external counsel

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of corporate and international law experience.
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (or equivalent).
• Experience in cross-border transactions and corporate structuring.
• Strong knowledge of international business law, securities regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage significant corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures.
• Provide expert legal counsel on international governance and compliance with global regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value international agreements.
