About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and self-motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to manage diverse construction projects from initiation to completion, regardless of geographical location. You will be responsible for strategic planning, budget management, risk assessment, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a virtual environment, possesses exceptional communication and leadership skills, and has a comprehensive understanding of all phases of the construction lifecycle. You will work closely with distributed teams, clients, and stakeholders to achieve project success, contributing to innovative construction solutions across various regions, while based anywhere in Gauteng or beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception to closeout.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, managing remotely.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to proactively address potential issues.
• Oversee project finances, including cost control, budget forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors through effective virtual communication.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant construction regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks across all projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects entirely remotely using collaboration tools and communication platforms.
• Expertise in project management software and construction management systems.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and legal requirements.
