Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Cloud Architect to design, implement and manage scalable cloud solutions for diverse clients. The role emphasizes AWS/Azure/GCP with IaC, security, and cost optimization in a remote setting.

You will lead architecture efforts, guide migrations, and collaborate across distributed teams while maintaining high performance and strong governance. A senior, hands-on expert is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing, deploying and managing cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Proficient in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong networking, security and containerization knowledge (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem solving and communication, able to work remotely.

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in cloud infrastructure and services, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Cloud Architect to join their distributed engineering team. This position is critical for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for a diverse clientele. As a remote-first role, you will collaborate with teams across different time zones, leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies to solve complex business challenges. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud computing principles, architecture design, and implementation, with a strong emphasis on AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be responsible for developing innovative cloud strategies, guiding adoption, and ensuring the optimal performance and cost-efficiency of cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructures.
• Develop and implement cloud strategies, architectures, and best practices for our clients.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud-native solutions and migration strategies.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies.
• Create comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and procedures.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and share knowledge within the team.
• Stay abreast of the latest cloud computing trends and advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments is a plus.
• Must be comfortable working in a fully remote setting, with excellent internet connectivity.
