About the Role

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who excels in managing civil infrastructure projects remotely, focusing on site development, infrastructure planning, and construction oversight. Key Responsibilities

Manage the planning, design coordination, and execution of civil infrastructure projects remotely. Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality control measures. Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams using virtual communication tools. Review and approve civil design drawings, specifications, and project reports. Conduct remote site assessments and monitor construction progress through digital reporting and site visits where feasible. Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations. Identify potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Prepare progress reports and manage project documentation effectively. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and remote collaboration practices.

Requirements

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering. Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management and design. Proven experience managing infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage, and site development. Proficiency in project management software and civil design tools. Excellent understanding of construction processes and contract administration. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, adapted for remote interaction. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Experience with collaborative online platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Asana) is essential. A commitment to delivering high-quality projects and fostering positive stakeholder relationships.
