Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering to join their team on a fully remote basis. This pivotal role involves providing expert geotechnical analysis and design solutions for a wide array of infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for assessing soil conditions, designing foundations, slope stability, and earth retaining structures, all while working independently from a remote location. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adept at managing complex geotechnical challenges and collaborating effectively with project teams via digital channels, contributing to the success of projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and laboratory testing interpretation.
• Perform detailed geotechnical analysis for foundation design, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Develop design recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
• Prepare high-quality geotechnical reports and technical specifications suitable for remote delivery.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical solutions.
• Oversee and review the work of junior geotechnical engineers and consultants remotely.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional experience in geotechnical investigation and design.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Expertise in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, or similar.
• Thorough understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and seismic design principles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver technical reports remotely with high accuracy.
