Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Chemical Engineer with scale-up expertise to bridge lab discoveries to commercial production. You will provide technical leadership from your home office, guiding process development and technology transfer across distributed teams.

Applicants should hold a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years in scale-up, reactor engineering, and process simulation. Remote work flexibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering with scale-up emphasis.
• 10+ years in chemical process development and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of transport phenomena, reaction engineering, and fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale-up from lab to pilot and production scales.
• Identify scale-up challenges: kinetics, heat/mass transfer, mixing.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specs for pilot/production plants.
• Collaborate with R&D, process engineers, and manufacturing for tech transfer.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for scale-up projects.
• Provide remote technical support for pilot operations and early production.
