Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote team specializing in cloud-based solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python/Java/Node.js/Go, and build robust data storage with SQL/NoSQL databases.

You will work with frontend, product, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions. The role emphasizes architecture, performance optimization, CI/CD, security, and mentoring in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: strong Backend Engineer track record with notable apps.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python/Java/Node.js/Go).
• Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
• Architect data storage solutions using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps to define system requirements.
• Optimize performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Ensure security and data integrity across applications.
• Participate in code reviews and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues to maintain uptime.
