Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Software Architect to lead the design of complex software systems for future vehicle platforms. This fully remote role in South Africa requires defining high-level architecture across infotainment, connectivity, autonomous driving, and powertrain domains.

You will guide teams, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with system engineers and product managers to translate requirements into robust solutions, leveraging AUTOSAR and automotive

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
Minimum of 10 years in software development with at least 5 years in an architectural role.
Proven experience designing embedded software architectures for automotive ECUs.
Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR and its components.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the software architecture for automotive ECUs and vehicle systems.
Establish patterns, standards and best practices for embedded software development.
Ensure architecture supports ISO 26262, cybersecurity and real-time performance.
