Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Air Traffic Controller to join a fully remote team. The role requires deep knowledge of aviation procedures, meteorology, and emergency protocols to manage airspace, guide pilots, and optimize traffic management from a remote operation center.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of ATC experience, current licenses, and proficiency with radar, ATMS, and radio equipment.

Qualifications

• Licensed air traffic controller with current ratings for relevant airspace.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive ATC experience in complex airspace.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO standards and procedures.
• Proficient with radar, ATMS, and radio/telecommunication equipment.
• Excellent decision-making, situational awareness and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage air traffic in assigned sectors with proper separation minima.
• Provide clear instructions to pilots via radio communications.
• Monitor airspace with radar and surveillance systems.
• Identify conflicts and weather hazards; implement mitigation measures.
• Coordinate emergency responses with relevant agencies.
• Maintain accurate flight progress logs and records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other controllers for seamless operations.
• Stay updated on evolving aviation regulations and best practices.
