Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced ATC solutions. This fully remote role entails working with an international team to ensure system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across global infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of ATC experience, strong radar and communications knowledge, and proven ability to manage remote projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of design, implementation, or support experience in Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.
• Strong understanding of radar systems, surveillance technologies (ADS-B, MLAT), comms (VHF/UHF), and navigation aids (ILS, VOR).
• Experience with ATC automation and data processing systems.
• Proficiency in system integration and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with international ATC standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy ATC system components (radar, surveillance, comms, automation).
• Provide remote technical support for ATC systems and ensure uptime.
• Develop and implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements with development teams.
• Conduct system testing and validation to meet performance and international standards (ICAO, EUROCONTROL).
• Prepare detailed technical documentation (designs, installation guides, manuals).
• Collaborate with clients and end-users to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor performance and identify potential issues or improvements.
• Stay current with emerging ATC technologies and best practices.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and progress reporting for remote projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of ATC system designs and support processes.
