About the Role

Our client, a multinational logistics corporation, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Sanitation Coordinator to oversee and standardize sanitation protocols across their global operational hubs. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to maintaining high hygiene standards from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing cleaning and sanitation procedures that comply with international health and safety regulations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of sanitation best practices in diverse environments (warehousing, transportation), and the ability to communicate effectively with on-site teams worldwide. The successful candidate will drive the continuous improvement of hygiene measures, ensuring safe and efficient operational environments without being physically present at any single location. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and implement standardized sanitation policies and procedures for global operational sites.
• Conduct virtual audits and assessments of cleaning protocols at various company locations using provided data and virtual tools.
• Train and support local site managers and cleaning staff remotely on hygiene best practices, chemical safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and analyze sanitation performance metrics from different regions, identifying areas for improvement.
• Research and recommend new cleaning technologies, equipment, and eco-friendly solutions suitable for diverse operational settings.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment globally.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial and logistics operations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on sanitation status, audit findings, and improvement initiatives for senior management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all remote sanitation-related inquiries and issues.
• Facilitate the sharing of best practices among different operational sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sanitation management, industrial hygiene, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on policy development and remote oversight.
• Demonstrated understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial or logistical contexts.
• Exceptional ability to develop and document procedures and policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and influence teams remotely across different cultures and time zones.
• Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and standard office software.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
• Experience in conducting remote audits or assessments is highly desirable.
• Must be located within reach of online communication infrastructure suitable for the Welkom, Free State, ZA region or any location globally if fully remote.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
