About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Remote Sanitation Compliance Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa , while contributing to critical sanitation standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sanitation compliance programs across various business units. This role requires a deep understanding of health regulations, best practices in hygiene, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable guidelines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client consistently meets and exceeds industry standards for cleanliness and public health, regardless of physical location. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain company-wide sanitation policies and procedures in line with current health and safety regulations.
• Conduct remote audits and risk assessments of sanitation practices and facilities.
• Provide expert guidance and training materials to staff on sanitation best practices and compliance requirements.
• Investigate and report on sanitation-related incidents or complaints, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor adherence to cleaning schedules and sanitation protocols across all operational areas.
• Stay current with all relevant local, national, and international sanitation and public health guidelines.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sanitation best practices into all aspects of business operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for any sanitation-related queries or concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sanitation Specialist, Compliance Officer, or in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on hygiene and public health standards.
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation protocols, health regulations (e.g., HACCP, OSHA, local health codes), and cleaning methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation, reporting, and remote collaboration (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, virtual meeting platforms).
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a remote work setting is highly desirable.
