Placements24 is seeking an experienced and analytical Remote Route Planning and Optimization Specialist to enhance our delivery network’s efficiency. This fully remote role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing optimal delivery routes across Mossel Bay, Western Cape and beyond.

You will leverage advanced software and data analysis to minimize transit times, reduce fuel consumption, and maximize delivery capacity.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and optimize delivery routes for a large fleet of vehicles to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Utilize advanced route planning software and algorithms to create dynamic and responsive delivery schedules.
• Analyze traffic patterns, delivery windows, and vehicle capacities to inform route decisions.
• Monitor route performance in real-time and make adjustments as needed to address unforeseen issues.
• Collaborate with dispatch teams and drivers to ensure seamless implementation of optimized routes.
• Identify and implement strategies to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Generate regular reports on route efficiency, cost savings, and key performance indicators.
