Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an analytical and innovative Remote Route Optimization Specialist to enhance a national delivery network. This role offers fully remote work from a home office and involves analyzing routes, developing optimized plans, and reducing transit times and costs.

You will work with advanced routing software, coordinate with dispatch teams, and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency and cost savings while staying current with best practices in logistics management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in route planning, logistics analysis, or transportation planning.
• Strong proficiency with route optimization software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Geography, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current delivery routes and operational data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop, test, and implement optimized route plans using advanced routing software and algorithms.
• Collaborate with dispatch teams and drivers to gather feedback and ensure the successful implementation of optimized routes.
• Monitor route performance metrics and provide regular reports on cost savings, efficiency gains, and key performance indicators.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and best practices in route optimization and logistics management.
• Proactively identify potential route disruptions and develop contingency plans.
