Placements24 seeks an experienced Remote Renewable Energy Policy Advisor to shape strategy and implementation of sustainable energy policies. Working entirely remotely, you will research national and international policies, assess impacts, and provide expert recommendations to government agencies, industry stakeholders, and strategic teams.

You will monitor regulatory developments, prepare briefs and presentations, and advocate for favourable policy environments to accelerate renewable energy

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Economics, Law, or related field with focus on energy.
• 5+ years in energy policy analysis, development, or advocacy.
• Strong understanding of the energy market, regulatory frameworks, and policy levers.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and insightful Remote Renewable Energy Policy Advisor to contribute to the strategic development and implementation of sustainable energy policies. Working entirely remotely, you will conduct in-depth research, analyze policy impacts, and provide expert recommendations to government agencies, industry stakeholders, and our client's strategic teams. This role is crucial for navigating the complex regulatory landscape and driving the adoption of renewable energy solutions across South Africa. You will leverage your expertise to influence policy decisions, identify opportunities for growth, and help shape a cleaner, more sustainable energy future from your home office.

Key Responsibilities
