Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Sustainable Farming Consultant to guide agricultural producers in adopting environmentally sound and economically viable farming practices. This remote role lets you work with farmers, cooperatives and organizations to assess operations, develop tailored sustainability plans, and provide training via virtual channels.

You will promote ecological balance across diverse farming systems and monitor outcomes, driving sustainable food systems

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainable agriculture, consulting, or extension services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments of farming operations to identify sustainability improvements.
• Develop customized sustainable agriculture plans focusing on soil health, water conservation, biodiversity, and reduced chemical inputs.
• Advise clients on organic farming, regenerative agriculture, and eco-friendly methods.
• Provide virtual training and workshops to farmers and staff on sustainable techniques and certifications.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies with data-driven feedback and adjustments.
