Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Real Estate Portfolio Manager to oversee and optimize their diverse real estate holdings. This is a fully remote position, demanding a high level of autonomy, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of property management and investment principles. You will be responsible for managing the financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic direction of a portfolio of properties. This includes maximizing rental income, controlling expenses, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for value enhancement and capital appreciation. The successful candidate will leverage data analytics and market insights to make informed decisions that drive portfolio growth and profitability, all within a flexible, home-based work structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the real estate portfolio to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance metrics, including occupancy rates, rental income, operating expenses, and ROI.
• Oversee property operations, including maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Manage tenant relationships, lease negotiations, and renewals to maintain high occupancy levels.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks affecting the portfolio.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for portfolio performance.
• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition and disposition opportunities to optimize the portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements related to property ownership and management.
• Liaise with property managers, leasing agents, and other service providers remotely.
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding portfolio strategy and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in real estate portfolio management, asset management, or property management.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of real estate markets, property operations, and investment principles.
• Proven ability to develop and implement successful portfolio strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in property management software, financial modeling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High degree of self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
