Job summary

Placements24 presents a fully remote Quantitative Analyst role with a pioneering fintech client. You will design, develop, and backtest advanced financial models, trading strategies, and risk management systems to drive investment decisions from your home office.

You will analyze large datasets, collaborate with traders and engineers, and continuously improve methodologies using machine learning, statistics, and numerical methods in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst or in a similar quantitative role within finance.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, R, or Java.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and numerical methods.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and portfolio theory.
• Experience with large-scale data analysis and database management (e.g., SQL).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and backtest quantitative trading strategies across various asset classes.
• Design and build sophisticated financial models for pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze large datasets to identify market patterns, trends, and predictive signals.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and software engineers to deploy quantitative models and systems.
• Conduct research on new quantitative methodologies and financial instruments.
• Ensure the accuracy, robustness, and efficiency of quantitative models and associated code.
• Monitor the performance of trading strategies and models, making necessary adjustments.
• Develop tools and dashboards for risk monitoring and performance analysis.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in quantitative finance, machine learning, and data science.
• Document methodologies, algorithms, and results thoroughly.
