Job summary

Core Code io is seeking a detail-minded QA Tester to ensure software quality before release. You will execute manual and automated tests, review requirements, and develop test cases to validate functionality, usability, performance, and reliability.

You will work with developers, product managers, and designers in a remote, fast-paced environment, document defects clearly, perform various testing types, and help improve testing processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of QA principles and software testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Ability to identify, reproduce, and document defects clearly.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and QA processes.
• Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, SQL, or web technologies is beneficial.
• Experience with regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated tests to verify software functionality and quality.
• Review requirements, specifications, and user stories to develop test scenarios.
• Create and maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Identify, document, and track defects.
• Reproduce issues and provide clear steps and information.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and other teams to resolve defects.
• Participate in testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and device testing when required.
• Validate behavior against requirements.
• Maintain records of results, defects, and progress.
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality concerns.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and release validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and tools.
• Support continuous improvement of QA practices and documentation.
