Job summary

Takealot Group seeks an experienced QA Manager (Merchant) to lead multiple QA teams, align testing with business objectives and drive strategic QA initiatives in a fast-growing e-commerce environment.

You will mentor test engineers, shape automation roadmaps, and ensure rigorous regression and data management while collaborating with product and engineering leaders to improve quality and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, CS, Mathematics or Engineering with minimum 5 years in Software QA.
• At least 2 years in a QA management role leading multiple teams.
• Proven experience designing scalable QA processes and SDLC testing across modules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple QA teams across diverse products and stakeholders.
• Build a cohesive QA strategy with robust communication channels.
• Recruit, mentor and coach QA talent to sustain high performance.
• Develop and implement advanced testing strategies including automation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape an integrated automation plan for UI and APIs.
• Maintain test data, write comprehensive test plans, and ensure regression coverage.
• Provide detailed status reports to team leads and stakeholders.
