Job summary

Blue Marble Recruitment is seeking a mid-level QA Automation Engineer to elevate testing through pragmatic automation. You will design automated tests, build a CI/CD pipeline, and use AI tools to accelerate test creation and coverage.

The role collaborates with developers to improve testability and partners with a manual QA tester to define automation scope. You will work remotely for a client based in Europe, with 3-5 years in software testing and 2+ years in automation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in software testing with at least 2 years in automation.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Familiar with AI tools in the workflow.
• Able to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design and write automated tests for end-to-end and integration testing.
• Build and integrate our CI/CD test pipeline; tests run on every change.
• Identify parts of the product with highest automation ROI and start there.
• Use AI tools to speed up test writing, data generation and coverage analysis.
• Maintain and improve the existing test suite as the product evolves.
• Work with developers to make the code more testable.
• Coordinate with the manual QA tester on what gets automated.
• Help investigate failures, flaky tests and production issues.
