Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Full-Cycle Psychiatric Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Specialist based in South Africa to support a Texas mental health practice. You will manage billing activities from claims processing to collections, using eClinicalWorks and collaborating remotely with staff and external billing partners.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, familiarity with ICD-10/CPT and Medicare Part B, strong English, and a 40-hour week (Mon–Fri) 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on medical billing and full-cycle revenue cycle experience.
• Recent psychiatric/behavioral health billing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW) billing functions.
• Experience with Medicare Part B billing.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle psychiatric and behavioral health billing, including claims management, payment posting, AR, and collections.
• Review claims, patient balances, billing records, and outstanding issues for timely resolution.
• Investigate denied or underpaid claims and assist with corrections and appeals.
• Maintain accurate payment records, AR information, and collection notes.
• Apply ICD-10 and CPT codes, payer guidelines, and psychiatric billing requirements.
• Use eCW to navigate accounts, review claims, generate statements, and access reports.
• Follow procedures for claim corrections, insurance follow-up, and documentation.
• Respond to patient inquiries and communicate with insurance representatives.
• Explain statements, copays, and balances clearly and professionally.
• Follow up on balances and approved payment arrangements.
• Verify patient identity and protect PHI per privacy rules.
• Communicate empathetically with distressed patients and escalate when needed.
• Prepare AR, claims, payment, and billing performance reports.
• Extract and analyze billing data using Excel and reporting tools.
• Identify discrepancies and overdue balances requiring attention.
• Coordinate with practice manager and external providers to maintain workflows.
• Participate in billing meetings and apply training updates accurately.
• Maintain documentation of billing activities and process changes.
• Meet service timelines and requirements in the independent contractor agreement.
