Job summary

Exclusively Remote is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will own the AR and billing lifecycle, work with a US-based client, and ensure accurate cash flow while maintaining strong financial controls.

The ideal candidate has solid AR/billing fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and the initiative to operate independently with minimal direction, including occasional AP tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or related finance role.
• Understanding of the AR cycle, billing procedures, and payment processing.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable and billing process.
• Understand billing workflows, payment cycles, and backend processes.
• Monitor outstanding accounts, investigate discrepancies, and identify root causes of delays.
• Track payments and unresolved balances, following up to keep records current.
• Understand how processes interact and identify inefficiencies or gaps.
• Investigate complex billing issues and apply problem-solving to resolve them.
• Own AR workflows and ensure issues are resolved without constant supervision.
• Participate in training, ask insightful questions, and learn quickly.
