Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee infrastructure and operational projects within the logistics sector. You will drive project delivery from initiation to closure, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with budget and schedule.

This remote-first role requires strong PM/PMBOK and Agile experience, with excellent communication and stakeholder management. You will collaborate with teams in Durban and other locations to optimize national logistics

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of project management experience focused on infrastructure and operations.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of PMBOK and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or Business.
• Experience leading remote/distributed teams and working in a remote-first setup.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex operational data.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for infrastructure and operations projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop project plans including scope, resources, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate project teams and ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure success.
• Oversee implementation of new systems and process improvements in operations.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with performance objectives.
• Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management.
• Promote best practices in project management and operational efficiency.
